California Lovin'

Here I am in sunny California, alhough the sun HAS gone down for the night. The children are sleeping and Tori Amos is singing me a lullaby. It's been a week since I've arrived home. I have spent some time setting up a space in my new dwelling, visiting with old friends, staring at the sun setting over a rough sea, playing at the park with the children, late nights drinking with my best friend and laughing at ourselves. It has been nice. We got a little stressed out in the begining, but I think we've gotten into a rhythm, and things are moving a little more smoothly. I am waiting to hear back from Rite Aid about a job, they've pretty much offered me the job, I'm waiting to find out how much they are offering me. That will be the deciding factor. The position is for supervisor with the idea that their assistant wants to transfer, and I would be able to move into that position relatively soon. So that's my life up to date in a nut shell. I feel nostalgic and happy with a touch of saddness and a hint of bliss. Life can be so strange sometimes, and to keep from feeling like I'm being pulled one way or the other, I let go and let it slowly guide me around. It's the feeling of loss of control that is scary, but if I can just relax and ease into it, I know I will be alright....
