They Might Be Giants

Saturday July 23rd. Penns Landing. Philladelphia.
It was an awesome show!! The drive down was pleasant, no major incidents, and we made good time. Sister Sarah, Uncle Chris, Gryphon and Ruby, and Tabitha and I all piled in the Van . Sarah made delicious burritos each labled with a disney character to distinguish whose is whose. Gryphon and Tabitha were mickey and minni respectively, I was daisy duck, Sarah was goofy and Chris was donald. I thought it was pretty cute. We went in and found some good seats, which we later gave up for yet better seats. The stadium was pretty small so we got a pretty good view of the band, except for the pole in the way. They were giving out free #1 hands with Thet Might Be Giants printed on them, and let me tell you, it was hilarious to see and entire stadium of fans waving these giant orange hands around in the air. I was laughing so hard. It was a really good show. Tabitha recognized quite a few of the songs. She was very excited to hear them play. It was a good first concert for her.
The entire day went really well. Sarah took some video and it turned out good, it was fun to see it again in snippet format. I really had a great time. I just havn't been to a show in quite some time and I wasn't dissapointed. Yea for us!! The weather was beautiful that day too. "Little" John sang about the sun in his eyes more than a few times. "Squinting, squinting, nothing rhymes with squinting..." and back into the music. It was hilarious!! And they're so cute. Well "little" John is anyway, in a cute nerdy way. Very exciting, all of it. And the fact that it was a free concert was even better. I got my concert high to last me for a little while. Sigh...........
