Moves On
Well, the move is on. The house went up on the market and three days later it was sold. Like lightening, it's done. We were offered cash. Amazing. Plans are underway. What do we take, what do we throw away. Sorting through the lives we've collected. Stuff, and more stuff. This is the "stuff" we are made of. Memories, treasures, and junk. I get to reminisce looking through old papers my parents have saved. Things from school mostly, like report cards, and achievement awards, the school newspaper I wrote on, my graduating class printed in the town paper, cards I'd made for my mom. To move requires you to go through everything you own, piece by piece, evaluate it, is it worthy of making that trip with you, or have you already moved on from it. It's the trial, and judgement is severe. I have had my life judged by another already, and mostly it was left behind. Deemed worthless. I don't have much at this point to choose from. I guess the benifit is that I really don't have much to pack, a few items of clothing for myself and the innocents, and all our toys. The promise of something new lies in the near future almost obtainable but just over the horizon. Like the sun about to rise and the sky has become a purple blue and you know if you wait, the colors will be amazing and life will have the light it needs to thrive.

Tell mom that I would love to be able to scan or see some of my old report cards. I would love to have these for my scrapbooks.
