Mall shopping with "what's her name again?"

The kids and I went to Pottstown today to visit with an old friend of mine. She's one of the first people I met when I'd moved to pa when I was ten. She's got three dogs and a bird. T. wasn't to thrilled with the dogs, she's always been a little timid when it comes to dogs. S. was very interested in the dogs until they barked once and, that was it, he was scared. They're really nice dogs, I think it's just because the kids aren't used to being around dogs, that they were scared. T. got to hold the bird on her finger and you should have seen the way her face just lit up! She was so excited about it she had to work at keeping the smile from reaching around to the back of her head. So, we walked around the mall for a while, ate lunch, and walked around some more. T. was getting tired and I could tell S. was too, so we didn't stay too much longer. For spending the day with someone, T. was really having a hard time remembering what her name was. She must have asked me over twenty times, "what's her name again?" "Katie" With a smile,"Oh, yeah, Katie...."
